5th National Open Access Conference (AE2016) It was hosted by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) in cooperation with the Anatolian University Libraries Consortium (ANKOS), Hacettepe University, Izmir Institute of Technology (IYTE) on October 27, 2016 in Ankara with the participation of 342 delegates.
The conference was opened by Prof. Dr. Erol ARCAKLIOĞLU, Vice President of TÜBİTAK, and the following topics were discussed in the conference: open science, open access, free access to scientific publications and data supported by public resources, making these publications and data available through institutional digital archives, policies, strategies, legislation, standards and software infrastructure required for open science and open access applications.
