TRUBA, Turkey's high-performance computing infrastructure operated by TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM, continues to strengthen its position in the field of science and technology with the success it has achieved in the international TOP500 ranking with its ARF-ACC supercomputer.
The ARF-ACC supercomputer system in the TRUBA infrastructure achieved a remarkable success by rising to 145th place in the international TOP500 list announced on November 18, 2025. The system, which ranked 266th in the June 2025 ranking, climbed 121 places with the NVIDIA H200 GPU investment.
Also Tops Green500 and HPCG Lists
ARF-ACC ranked 45th in the Green500 list of the world's greenest supercomputers in terms of energy efficiency. In the HPCG tests, which measure the realistic performance of scientific calculations, the ARF-ACC system moved up 48 places from 118th place in June 2025 to 70th place in November 2025. This remarkable leap clearly demonstrated the high efficiency of the system at the application level.
These results confirmed TRUBA's international competitiveness in both performance and sustainability.
Capacity Increased with New GPU Investments
The ARF system, which was powered by H100 GPU components in 2024, provided a significant capacity increase for artificial intelligence and data-intensive applications with 192 NVIDIA H200 GPUs added in 2025. TRUBA is expected to climb higher in the world rankings in the coming period.
Strategic Contribution to Turkey's Science and R&D Ecosystem
TRUBA plays a critical role in the R&D activities of academia, public and private sectors:
- It accelerates national scientific production,
- Increasing global competitiveness in artificial intelligence and machine learning,
- It enables pioneering work in climate, energy, materials science and engineering,
- It offers researchers an open, inclusive, sustainable computing ecosystem.
