The user training seminar, organized by TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM DergiPark group, was held on November 18, 2016 at TÜBİTAK Feza Gürsey Hall.

ULAKBIM Director Mr. It started with the opening speech of Mr. M. Mirat SATOĞLU. Emphasizing the importance of UDS trainings, he said that the structure of the system to be used will be continuously improved. He thanked the participants.

The training seminar, in which the open source and more user-friendly "ULAKBIM Journal Systems (UDS)", which will replace OJS (Open Journal Systems), which forms the infrastructure of DergiPark services, was introduced and its use was explained, was attended by 13 people via live broadcast and 230 people attended in person.

In the training seminar, the DergiPark team explained the innovations offered to national academic journals with the first version of UDS, the roles of journal managers, editors, referees and authors, and all processes from article submission to issue publication.

The meeting ensured that the participants took an active role in developing the new system in accordance with the needs and demands, taking care to allocate sufficient time for questions and suggestions. The importance of the forum page created for the DergiPark group and users to be in constant communication was emphasized.

The results of the surveys presented to the participants regarding UDS and the training meeting showed great support for UDS and congratulations and thanks to ULAKBIM DergiPark.

DergiPark UDS User Training recording video was presented to users on TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM TV. As the development process of UDS continues, the training meetings are planned to be repeated throughout the year throughout Turkey upon the intense demand from DergiPark users.
