The first person to receive the LibreOffice Developer Certificate in Turkey was Muhammet Kara, a software developer for the Pardus Project.
LibreOffice is one of the popular office applications in the world where open document format can be easily processed. With the widespread use of open document format in our country, its usage rate is increasing day by day.
TUBITAK contributes to the development and widespread use of LibreOffice.
As is well known, the development of LibreOffice is coordinated by The Document Foundation, a non-profit and impartial international organization. As a first in Turkey, the Foundation has awarded the title of LibreOffice Certified Developer to Muhammet Kara, a developer in the Pardus project team, for his continuous and high quality contributions to the development of LibreOffice. There are 55 developers worldwide with this title.
