The second of the meetings held to receive opinions and suggestions on the implementation method of the UBYT Program in the coming period was held on May 04, 2018 with the participation of faculty members who received incentives from the UBYT Program.
In his opening speech, Mehmet Mirat Satoğlu, Director of TÜBİTAK ULAKBIM, stated that the purpose of the meeting was to discuss, listen to suggestions, create a common mind and revise the UBYT program. At the meeting, Mustafa Sancar, Deputy Director of ULAKBIM, made a presentation by mentioning the titles of the study in which 25 years of data of the UBYT Program were analyzed and reported.
Afterwards, other participants expressed their views on the subject.
Accordingly, common views are as follows;
- Continuation and improvement of the UBYT Program,
- The Higher Education Council should also take part in this formation,
- Evaluation of publications according to the number of citations,
- Journals in the AHCI group should be subject to a separate evaluation,
- Differences between fields must be taken into account,
- Identifying priority areas and providing incentives.
