EuroCC Turkey, under the coordination of TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM and with the support of Middle East Technical University and Sabancı University, is carrying out successful activities.
Within the scope of these efforts, EuroCC Turkey is organizing many events to raise the awareness of academia, industry and the public in the fields of High Performance Computing (HPC), big data and artificial intelligence, to convey the advantages of the experience and resources available in the country and to encourage the use of HPC technologies.
The National Competence Center, established with the EuroCC Project, conducts case studies to support industry-academia cooperation in the field of ICT. With the case studies, solutions that converge to the fields of ICT, big data and artificial intelligence and that will provide improvements in the business processes of SMEs are revealed. Thus, the case studies carried out in cooperation with academia-industry in order to raise awareness of EuroHPC and the supercomputing ecosystem in Europe and to support them in applying for calls opened in this ecosystem turn into success stories.
The National Competence Center provides academic advisor support during the study process and offers free use of TRUBA resources. Awareness and information activities on different calls to be opened within the scope of EuroHPC will be continued.

NANOGRAPHY

Nanography In the case study titled "Material Modeling in Nanocomposite Optimization", the company was introduced to computational materials science and ICM services with no prior experience in ICM infrastructure. The company utilized computational studies as a support mechanism or alternative to traditional and time-consuming experimental methods. With the involvement of Alti Dynamics, Nanography, in collaboration with TRUBA and METU, is a European initiative to help SMEs facilitate access to high-performance computing technologies. FF4EuroHPC call for support and was entitled to receive support.
MACHINETUTORS

Machinetutors The case study on "Image-Based Content Inspection", conducted with the company, attempted to solve the problem of real-time image-based content inspection using a custom image dataset crawled from the web with appropriate licenses and annotated with in-house tools. With this collaboration, the company was able to run many experiments in parallel and quickly see the effects of model updates. By accessing newer GPUs, they completed their experiments in a much shorter time. The speed and cost-effectiveness provided by this support helped them gain a significant competitive advantage in the global artificial intelligence ecosystem.
DSTECH

DSTECH firmasıyla gerçekleştirilen “TRUBA Altyapısında Paralel Hesaplama ile Patentli Tasarımın Simülasyon Optimizasyonu” başlıklı vaka çalışmasında içme suyu arıtma tesislerinde kullanılan dezenfeksiyon sisteminin verimliliğini artırmak için Avrupa Patent Ofisi tarafından patentlenmiş bir tasarımın optimize edilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Tasarımın optimizasyonu, uzun süren bir dizi sayısal simülasyon gerektirir. Ulusal YBH altyapısı TRUBA’da gerçekleştirilen hesaplamalar ile optimize edilmiş tasarım, sistemin verimliliğini %12,47 oranında artırmıştır.
ERICTRONICS

ErikTronik In the case study "Optimization of Commonly Used Physics Parameters in Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) Model and High Accuracy Prediction of Complex Weather Events", the company optimizes the WRF model through simulations to find the best parameters over Turkey. With this case study, the company has gained experience in the field of WRF. The findings of the simulations performed on TRUBA, the national WRF infrastructure, pave the way for improving weather and climate forecasts over Turkey.
