TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM aims to promote a sustainable, community-oriented scientific communication ecosystem. "Action Plan for Diamond Open Access"for the entire Diamond Open Access ecosystem, including journals and platforms. The Action Plan, presented on March 2 by Science Europe, coAlition S, OPERAS and the French National Research Agency (ANR), proposes to harmonize and develop shared resources for the entire Diamond Open Access ecosystem, including journals and platforms, and to respect the cultural, multilingual and disciplinary diversity that is the strength of the sector.
The Action Plan aims to significantly increase the capacity of Diamond magazines to provide innovative, relevant, reliable and accessible publishing services. Open Access Diamond Journals Study Following its recommendations, the action plan aims to support Diamond Open Access by focusing on four central elements: efficiency, quality standards, capacity building and sustainability.
TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM, one of the first organizations to approve the Action Plan, aims to contribute to this growing momentum in Europe by setting an example with the DergiPark platform, a national infrastructure for scientific publishing. As it is known, TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM has been providing infrastructure support to our national journals with DergiPark since 2013.
About Diamond Open Access
Elmas Açık Erişim Eylem Planı, dergilerin ve platformların yazarlardan veya okuyuculardan ücret talep etmediği bilimsel bir yayın modelini ifade eder. Dünya çapında tahmini 17.000 ila 29.000 Elmas Açık Erişim dergisi bilimsel iletişimin önemli bir bileşenidir; toplam makale yayın hacminin %9’unu ve Açık Erişim yayıncılığının %45’ini yayınlarlar.
