Curricula Developed for Students with Special Talents were Presented to Public Opinion

TUBITAK ULAKBIM and the Ministry of National Education General Directorate of Special Education and Guidance Services have completed the development of a curriculum for gifted education.

As a first in the history of the Republic, 28 curricula were prepared for primary, secondary and secondary education starting from pre-school period in the curriculum development studies that started in 2017. In these studies, 63 academics and 80 teachers from 29 different universities, who are experts in their fields and in the education of gifted students, took part. The new curricula developed according to the characteristics of gifted students include preschool, physical education and games, physical education and sports, information technologies and software, biology, geography, philosophy, science, physics, visual arts, life science, chemistry, mathematics, music, social studies, history, Turkish language and literature, and Turkish.
