Digitalization efforts within the scope of the Erasmus+ program, of which many universities in our country are members, gained momentum in 2021. In order for member higher education institutions to share student mobility data, it was decided to use the EduGAIN authorization service established and operated by the European Academic Network GEANT. YETKIM, the identity federation for higher education and research institutions in Turkey, operated by TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM, is part of this service. Therefore, the users of the Universities participating in the YETKIM federation will have the opportunity to access the Erasmus+ web service with their institutional credentials regardless of their location.

On May 26, 2021, a webinar was organized for the technical authorities of ULAKNET user institutions to provide information about participation in the YETKİM Federation and the qualifications to be published within the scope of the Erasmus+ program. Our institution continues to work intensively to ensure that all universities that are members of the program can become YETKİM members until September 1, 2021, when online teaching agreements will be made online.
