On May 13, 2024, a delegation from Gabon visited our Directorate to examine TÜBİTAK's research, development, technology and innovation activities in the fields of natural sciences, environmental sciences, social and humanities, medical and health sciences, agricultural sciences, digital sciences and engineering.
Director Mehmet Mirat Satoğlu, Deputy Director Hayrettin Bucak, Senior Researcher İzzet Aydın and Chief Researcher Tamer Übeyli from TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM; From the Gabonese delegation, Jean-Emery Etoughe-Efe, Director General of Scientific Research at the Gabonese Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Technological Renewal, Olivia Charléne Eyumane Assoumou, Diplomatic Advisor to the Minister, Thibault Ifounga, Chief of Protocol and Human Resources Officer at the Embassy of Gabon, and experts Marcelin Nkoghe Ondo and Paul-Bruno Missenegui.
TUBITAK ULAKBIM Director Mehmet Mirat Satoğlu gave a brief history of TUBITAK and ULAKBIM and talked about our ULAKNET infrastructure, our supercomputer TRUBA and the services provided by our Cahit Arf Information Center. After the presentations, the delegation visited our new data center. Senior Principal Researchers Onur Temizsoylu and Hakan Bayındır presented the new data center and the work carried out.
