The new version 6.1 of LibreOffice, which was developed by the Pardus team, has been released and is now available in the Pardus 17.3 repository. Our users can use the new version by updating their systems.
With this release comes many new features and a significant performance boost. Some of what's new:
- Two new icon themes have been added: Colibre and Karasa Jaga.
- Image processing has been improved so that documents with large numbers of images can be loaded and viewed more smoothly.
- It is now possible to sign ODF documents with ECDSA keys on Linux and macOS.
- For shapes and backgrounds, a new set of fill gradients is available, and the background images dialog has been redesigned to make it easier to use.
- The online help system has been extended with sample files to help you see how features in the software work.
- Customizing toolbars and menus is now even easier thanks to the new setting/gear button in the customization dialog.
You can use the newly added Colibre icon theme by selecting it from the drop-down list available via "Tools > Options > LibreOffice > Appearance > User Interface > Icon format:".
