M. Mirat SATOĞLU is the Director of the Institute at TÜBİTAK National Academic Network and Information Center (ULAKBIM). He received his bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Bilkent University in 1997 and his master's degrees from Ege University in 2000 and University of Pennsylvania in 2012. Until 2014, SATOĞLU worked in various international companies in the field of informatics. At TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM, he has implemented many strategic transformation processes with the aim of strengthening the national academic network infrastructure, expanding information services and increasing access to scientific knowledge in line with the mission of the Institute.
Mr. SATOĞLU, who stands out with his initiatives on electronic research infrastructures, IT policies and open science, actively represents Turkey in SCOAP³ Board of Directors, EGI Board of Directors, European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) General Assembly, EuroHPC Joint Initiative General Assembly and Open Science and Innovation Working Group of the European Research Area and Innovation Committee.
