Yakup KARADAVUT was born on 29/03/1967 in Bolu Gerede. He completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Ankara. He completed his undergraduate education at Ankara University, Faculty of Political Sciences, Department of Economics in 1990.
In 1991, he joined the Ministry of Treasury and Finance as an Accounting Auditor. In 2006, he was appointed to the Privatization Administration, where he worked as Branch Manager and Internal Auditor.
In 2014-2015, he served as the acting Head of Strategy Development Department of TUBITAK. In 2016, he was appointed as the Head of TÜBİTAK Strategy Development Department. In 2019, he was appointed as senior chief expert to TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM. Since 03/09/2025, he has been working as Deputy Administrative Director of TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM.
He is married and has two children.
