4th National Open Access Workshop (AE2015) It was hosted by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) in cooperation with the Anatolian University Libraries Consortium (ANKOS), Hacettepe University, Izmir Institute of Technology (IYTE) on October 19-21, 2015 in Ankara with the participation of 380 delegates.
The workshop was opened by Prof. Dr. A. Arif ERGİN, President of TUBITAK and the following topics were discussed in the workshop: open science, open access, free access to scientific publications and data supported by public resources, making these publications and data available through institutional digital archives, policies, strategies, legislation, standards and software infrastructures required for open science and open access applications.

A Workshop Final Declaration was prepared by the Organizing Committee of the AE2015 Fourth National Open Access Workshop and it was decided to share the declaration and recommendations with the decision makers who shape the science and technology policies of our country, institutions that support and conduct research, researchers, delegates attending the workshop and the public.
