National Call: Pilot Access Applications Now Open for MareNostrum 5 Supercomputer
TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM invites research communities in academia, industry and the public sector in Türkiye to apply for a national pilot access programme for MareNostrum 5 (MN5), one of Europe's most advanced pre-exascale supercomputers. Hosted at the Barcelona Supercomputing Centre (BSC) in Spain and co-funded by the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU) and the MN5 consortium (Spain, Portugal, and Türkiye), MN5 is a critical high performance computing resource for groundbreaking research in academia, industry, and the public sector.
Who Can Apply?
Applications are open to research groups with prior experience using national (e.g., ITU UHeM, TRUBA) or international high-performance computing centers and actively engaged in R&D activities. Researchers from universities, industry, and public institutions are encouraged to apply.
Application Details:
- Pilot Access Period: Applications will remain open until March 20, 2025.
- Submission Deadlines: Applications will be evaluated twice a month, with cut-off dates on the 6th and 20th of each month.
- Evaluation Criteria: Applications undergo administrative and technical assessments. In case of a high number of access requests, ‘scientific peer review’ may also be required according to the occupancy rate of the available resources.
