RIPE NCC (Réseaux IP Européens Network Coordination Center) is the IP address distribution authority in the European region. RIPE NCC allocate and register blocks of Internet number resources to Internet service providers (ISPs) and other organisations. ULAKBİM signed a Standard Service Agreement with RIPE NCC on December 1, 1998 and became a Local Internet Registry (LIR). With this agreement, ULAKBİM has been authorized by RIPE to distribute IP addresses to universities and research institutions connected to ULAKNET backbone. TI (Trusted Introducer)
ULAKBIM is a member of TI (Trusted Introducer) with Ulak-CSIRT (Computer Security Incident Response Team), which is a security unit that has been established within the context of National Academic Network.
