SCOAP3 (Sponsoring Consortium for Open Access Publishing in Particle Physics (SCOAP3)

Sponsoring Consortium for Open Access Publishing in Particle Physics (SCOAP3) is an Open Access partnership which aims to centralize the costs paid by countries and institutions to convert existing key journals in the field of High Energy Physics to Open Access and opening them to the participating members.

ULAKBIM is member of SCOAP3 consortium, which has members from 46 countries.

RIPE NCC (Réseaux IP Européens Network Coordination Center)

RIPE NCC (Réseaux IP Européens Network Coordination Center) is the IP address distribution authority in the European region. RIPE NCC allocate and register blocks of Internet number resources to Internet service providers (ISPs) and other organisations.

ULAKBİM signed a Standard Service Agreement with RIPE NCC on December 1, 1998 and became a Local Internet Registry (LIR). With this agreement, ULAKBİM has been authorized by RIPE to distribute IP addresses to universities and research institutions connected to ULAKNET backbone.

TI (Trusted Introducer)

ULAKBIM is a member of TI (Trusted Introducer) with Ulak-CSIRT (Computer Security Incident Response Team), which is a security unit that has been established within the context of National Academic Network.

ULAKBIM has been involved in TI aiming the consolidation of the efforts of all CERT / CSIRTs operating in Europe to protect information technology systems against computer security incidents.

ICOLC (International Coalition of Library Consortia)

The International Coalition of Library Consortia (ICOLC) is an informal group currently comprising approximately 200 library consortia from around the world. ICOLC supports participating consortia by facilitating discussion on issues of common interest.  From time to time ICOLC also issues statements regarding topics which affect libraries and library consortia.

EuroHPC

The EuroHPC (European High Performance Computing) Joint Undertaking is a 1 billion Euro joint initiative between the EU and European countries to develop a Supercomputing Ecosystem in Europe. EuroHPC will permit the EU and participating countries to coordinate their efforts and share resources with the objective of deploying in Europe a supercomputing infrastructure and a competitive innovation ecosystem in supercomputing technologies, applications and skills.
