Year-end meetings of TR Index Social Sciences Committee and Science Committee were held under the presidency of the director of ULAKBİM, M. Mirat Satoğlu, in the first week of July.
Satoğlu started the meetings by appreciating the efforts and contributions of TR Index Committee members in carrying on with the efforts of establishing a national database, which was started in 1993 by TÜBİTAK, with an increasing momentum, realization of the National Reference Index, which was an aim of many years, and increasing the quality of national periodical publications.
Working in TR Index Committees for 10 or more years, Prof. Dr. Ali Ekber ŞAHİN, Prof. Dr. Berna ARDA, Prof. Dr. Orhan YILMAZ, Prof. Dr. Ramazan GÖZEN and Prof. Dr. Zeynel CEBECİ were given plaques for their services.
The meeting continued with evaluation of the magazines requiring Committee decisions and reviewing the magazine evaluation criteria to be applied in 2020.
The first Committee meetings of the 2019-2020 work period were planned to be held in September.
