DergiPark is Among the Most Visited Web Sites In Turkey

Number of the daily visitors of DergiPark, which provides services under TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM, has exceeded 80 thousand. The fact that DergiPark, which has more than 2 million articles viewed per month, is found in the first places in search engines such as Google, increases the frequency of being visited from many regions of the world. On platforms where the most visited web sites are tracked on the basis of countries and languages, DergiPark is among the first 150 web sites including the news and shopping sites.

While researches can access scientific publications on DergiPark, writers find the opportunity to send articles to the most appropriate journal and follow up the process. Publishers and editors run their journals on a reliable and sustainable medium, and they easily access expert journal referees to evaluate articles.

Increased utilization of DergiPark has led to the improvement of academic periodical publishing in accordance with quality standards. Providing access to almost all academic journals from the same platform, DergiPark has created a transparent medium that led to the awareness of ethical violations.

DergiPark Has Become a Domestic and National Brand

Having a broad area of utilization in the academic ecosystem, DergiPark has become a domestic and national brand. While developing ULAKBİM Journal Systems (UDS) used in DergiPark infrastructure, other journal systems in the world have been examined, the infrastructure has been designed to include all academic journals in Turkey, and user feedbacks were considered.

According to the results of the survey performed in 2019 for DergiPark users, the rate of satisfaction for the realization of DergiPark project and the services it provides was 95 percent. 

Reliable Way to Access Scientific Information: TÜBİTAK DergiPark

According to data of 2019 December, There are 909 journals, 410 thousand 885 scientific articles and 255 thousand 946 registered users in DergiPark. While these numbers increase daily, DergiPark has brought new criteria for the application and hosting conditions in order to prevent inappropriate use. In five years, 704 journals which did not comply with these conditions were removed and technical infrastructure has been strengthened accordingly.

Journals hosted in DergiPark have been classified as Active, Passive and New journals according to their numbers. This classification will remind publishers and editors of the terms of use of DergiPark, and will help the authors to make the right decision in choosing the journal. 

Opening to the World from Turkey, The Most Extensive Open Access Collection

The importance of Open Science applications is increasing globally. Providing services as per the Open Science Policy created by TÜBİTAK, DergiPark is one of the few open access collections in the world with 256 thousand articles. European Union Open Access Platform ranks 11th among OpenAIRE data providers.

DergiPark Will Constantly Update itself and Continue its Services.

DergiPark aims to present innovations in information technologies to the service of its users in 2020 with the new designs of Journal and Article pages. It also aims to reflect the scientific performances of authors and journals in a multifaceted way thanks to the integration studies carried out with national and international information systems.
