Turkish Journal of Chemistry became the third journal to join the PubMed database among the academic journals published by TÜBİTAK.
PubMed, which became available to the public online in 1996, is an open access resource widely used by academics doing research in health and life sciences. It contains more than 30 million citations and abstracts regarding the publications in the biomedical literature, and it is composed of three primary databases called MEDLINE, PubMed Central (PMC), and Bookshelf.
Following the Turkish Journal of Medical Sciences, the TÜBİTAK’s first academic journal joined PubMed, the Turkish Journal of Biology was included in PubMed in 2018. This year, together with the Turkish Journal of Chemistry, TÜBİTAK took part in the PubMed database with its three academic journals.
