Launched in 2003, the Pardus operating system has so far met its users with 5 main and 2 corporate versions. The Pardus project, which is carried out within TÜBİTAK BİLGEM, was incorporated into the TÜBİTAK National Academic Network and Information Center (ULAKBİM) in Ankara last year in order to create a close working environment with public institutions. Pardus is an operating system that can be used safely by public institutions and SMEs, with high performance, Turkish-supported applications, continuously updated and secure, low cost, and prioritizing functionality and visuality. ULAKBIM has completed the Pardus 2013 version.
