TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM The second Public Open Source Conference is being organized under the leadership of the Pardus Project. This year, the Pardus Project, developments and solutions in the open source world, public open source usage and adaptation stories, activities carried out in our country, effective and efficient use of public resources and similar issues will be discussed in seminars and workshops.
The 10th Development Plan and the Information Society Strategy and Action Plan emphasize the use of open source and free software in the public sector. This task is being embraced under the leadership of TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM with the Pardus project. The Public Open Source Conference is organized with the support of the Open Source Advisory Committee consisting of representatives from the public sector, universities and open source NGOs. The conference is owned by public institutions and relevant ministries, especially TÜBİTAK.
After the courses that will start on October 17-18, our conference will be held on October 19-20 at TED University College Campus. The conference will include seminars and workshops on open source/free software issues that are needed in the public sector, as well as discussions on national policies and success stories.
