Undersecretary for Science and Technology of the Embassy of Pakistan in Ankara visited TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM

Dr. Badar-ud-din Ahmed, Undersecretary for Science and Technology at the Embassy of Pakistan in Ankara, visited TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM on 31 October 2024 to receive information about the expertise and competencies of TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM, to evaluate possible connections between TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM and institutions in the research and academic ecosystem in Pakistan, and to discuss possible cooperation opportunities with some universities, such as joint library access.

During the meeting, Mehmet Mirat Satoğlu, Director of TÜBİTAK ULAKBIM, gave a brief history of TÜBİTAK and ULAKBIM, and talked about the expertise and competencies of TÜBİTAK ULAKBIM, especially the ULAKNET infrastructure, the new generation data center MODSİMMER TRUBA, the world's 313th most powerful supercomputer Arf and the services provided by the Cahit Arf Information Center.

They exchanged information on the supercomputer system and cooperation in the field of librarianship.

Deputy Directors Hayrettin Bucak and Bekir Çengelci, Senior Specialist Didem Aydan, Senior Specialist Sibel Tabanlıoğlu and Senior Researcher Tamer Übeyli from TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM also took part in the meeting.
