A protocol was signed between TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM and Kayseri Chamber of Commerce (KTO) for the dissemination of Pardus in Kayseri.
Speaking at the signing ceremony held at the KTO Service Building, KTO Chairman Mahmut HİÇYILMAZ stated that more than 15 thousand computers have been transformed into the national operating system and as KTO, a protocol was signed with TÜBİTAK for the dissemination of Pardus in Kayseri. President, "Turkey is approaching step by step to its goal of being among the top 10 developed economies in the world with the achievements and gains it has achieved in economic, social and political fields in the last 15 years. Turkey, which aims to reduce foreign dependency with national production, acts with this understanding in information technologies and provides important gains. The Pardus Operating System project is an indicator of the new stage our country has reached in information technologies. Successful efforts have been carried out since 2003 within TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM to make Pardus a competitive and sustainable operating system. With the direct or indirect support provided by TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM, more than 15 thousand computers have been converted to Pardus, the national operating system. As Kayseri Chamber of Commerce, we are signing a cooperation protocol with TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM to contribute to this transformation and to popularize the Pardus Operating System in Kayseri."

Underlining that they are the first chamber to make a protocol with TÜBİTAK among the chambers of commerce affiliated to TOBB, HİÇYILMAZ said that with the support of TÜBİTAK, we aim to specialize the IT companies in our city on the Pardus Operating System. In this context; We will organize trainings, seminars and promotional activities on the dissemination of the Pardus Operating System. We will also work to provide consultancy services for the transition of our members to the PARDUS Operating System. With the signing of this protocol and its implementation in Kayseri, we aim to both support a national project and contribute to the new business areas of our IT companies. As a first step, we will hold our Pardus Operating System trainings in our chamber between November 13-17, 2017.

After the speeches, the protocol was signed between KTO Chairman Mahmut HİÇYILMAZ and TÜBİTAK ULAKBIM Institute Director Mehmet Mirat SATOĞLU. Kayseri Chamber of Commerce Chairman Mahmut HİÇYILMAZ, Vice Chairman Celal HASNALÇACI, TÜBİTAK ULAKBIM Institute Director Mehmet Mirat SATOĞLU, Pardus Project Executor Dr. Cengiz ÇELİK, KTO Assembly Member Tarık YÜCE, 9th Vocational Committee Chairman Namık Kemal YEKTİN and committee members attended the protocol ceremony.
