The "Irakly Sinyagin Medal", which is awarded annually by the Russian Academy of Sciences of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation to scientists who have carried out important studies that promote international relations in the field of agricultural sciences, was awarded this year to Prof. Dr. Sezai Ercişli, editor-in-chief of the Turkish Journal of Agriculture and Forestry. The "Irakly Sinyagin Medal", which is a very important award in the field of agriculture and is also called the "Oscar of Agriculture", was unanimously awarded to Prof. Dr. Ercişli by the members of the Russian Academy of Sciences for his contributions to international projects in the field of agricultural sciences, the wide impact of his research and the importance he attaches to scientific cooperation.
Prof. Dr. Sezai Ercişli, the first Turkish scientist to receive an award in this field, contributes to world agriculture, especially with his studies in the field of horticulture and agricultural biotechnology. Since 2014, Prof. Dr. Ercişli, who has been the editor-in-chief of the Turkish Journal of Agriculture and Forestry in TÜBİTAK Academic Journals, has made great contributions to the journal's inclusion in Q1.
