TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM is rapidly continuing its projects initiated to transform the national academic network ULAKNET into an education and research network with its own fiber optic infrastructure and to provide Turkish researchers with a flexible and sustainable electronic infrastructure with high capacity national and international connections, compatible with new technologies.

Necmettin Erbakan University Faculty of Fine Arts and Konya Technical University Continuing Education Center units were added to the electronic communication infrastructure established and operated by TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM in 2010 in cooperation with Konya Metropolitan Municipality for the connection of units in Konya province. With the newly added 2 units, a total of 14 units in Konya province are directly connected to the ULAKNET infrastructure via fiber optic infrastructure.
