Strengthened Scientific Collaborations with the Azerbaijan National Academy of Science (AMEA).
Mehmet Mirat Satoğlu, Director of TUBITAK ULAKBIM, paid a visit to Azerbaijan upon an invitation from the Azerbaijan National Academy of Science. During the visit, Satoğlu shared the knowledge and experiences of TUBITAK ULAKBIM to support the scientific studies in Azerbaijan, and was informed about the studies of AMEA and its affiliated institutes in the fields of academic journals and electronic academic services.
Academician İsa Habibbeyli, President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Science, stated that the strengthened scientific collaborations between Türkiye and Azerbaijan had contributed significantly to scientific studies in Azerbaijan, and went on to
express his particular satisfaction with the involvement of TUBITAK in this regard and the constant expansion of AMEA’s scientific collaborations with many reputable academic institutions in Türkiye. He concluded that they accordingly attached great importance to the establishment of new relationships with TUBITAK ULAKBIM.
In response, Satoğlu stated that they had been delighted to receive the invitation of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Science, and that the continued collaborations and information sharing were a source of great pride. He said that he believed the visit would further advance the scientific collaborations between Türkiye and Azerbaijan before providing information about such TUBITAK ULAKBIM activities as DergiPark and TR Dizin. Satoğlu presented a copy of Pippa Smart’s Editor's Handbook and its Turkish translation in both printed and electronic formats to the executives of AMEA, and wished success to the institution in all its academic endeavors.
