An important cooperation between TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM, the developer of the Pardus operating system, and AFAD

TÜBİTAK enters the 100th year of the Republic stronger with important collaborations. A maintenance and application development contract has been signed between the Presidency of Disaster and Emergency Management (AFAD) and TÜBİTAK Turkish Academic Network And Information Center (ULAKBİM), the developer of the Pardus operating system. The needs and special development requests specified in the contract signed by TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM Manager M. Mirat Satoğlu and AFAD Management Services General Manager Mustafa Havan will be met.

The team IT, coordinated by AFAD Information Systems and Communications Department Head Nihan Karacameydan, who occasionally collaborates with the Pardus team, such as in solving various problems and the Corporate Pardus Software Center, has taken the collaboration to a more formal and institutional level with this contract. Most of the additional functionality that will be developed under this service will consist of software that is not specific to the institution and will appeal to the general user population. Thus, AFAD's valuable feedback and ideas will continue to contribute to achieving tangible results and serve as a model institution for the Pardus world in terms of transformation and sustainability.
