TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM Cahit Arf Center conducts studies on information products and services and subscribes to national and international resources of e-information, enabling access to the same by researchers. These subscriptions are made accessible to all the universities in Turkey and TRNC as well as training and research hospitals of the Ministry of Health, TÜBİTAK and its affiliated institutes under the National Academic License for Electronic Resources (EKUAL). Moreover, the Center has also subscriptions to certain specific resources of e-information for the services provided by TÜBİTAK and its affiliated institutes as well as fields of research and development.
On-site and remote training has been offered to TÜBİTAK researchers to make sure more efficient use of the subscribed resources of e-information and research solutions and to inform about any new product features in order to enable the institutes and units affiliated with TÜBİTAK, which serve sustainable processes for development and improvement of science, industry and technology policies of Turkey, to conduct their academic and industrial R&D studies in a more effective and quicker way.
“Elsevier Training on Scientific Research and Resource Solutions” was provided at the Conference Hall in the Service Building of TÜBİTAK, Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology, from 10:00 to 12:30 on Thursday, 28 June 2018, under the training series managed by ULAKBİM and Elsevier Publishing.
The subtitles of the training were as follows:
- Shortcuts to effective research with ScienceDirect
- How to speed up and reinforce your research with Scopus
- SciVal: An analysis of research performance from different perspectives
- A brief introduction to ULAKBİM’s information products and services.
68 researchers from TÜBİTAK Units attended the training.
