The EuroCC Project, which aims to establish High Performance Calculating (YBH) Competence Centers in Europe and supported by the EuroHPC-04-2019 call, started on September 1, 2020.
Activities of the YBH Competence Center to be established in our country with the support of EuroCC will be carried out under the coordination of TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM with the participation of Middle East Technical University and Sabancı University. In this context, it is aimed to discover existing competencies, determine the needs, provide training and consultancy, and initiate university-industry partnership in the implementation of YBH.
The National YBH Competence Center has a total budget of 2 Million Euros, 50% of which will be provided by the European Union fund.

Through the establishment of national YBH Competence Centers in participatory countries, the EuroCC Project will support interdisciplinary collaborations in materials sciences, molecular dynamics, bioinformatics, fluid dynamics, machine learning and artificial intelligence, and will create a network of YBH Competence Centers across Europe.
There are 33 partners in the project to be carried out for 2 years under the coordination of Germany. The EuroCC Project, initiated within the scope of the EuroHPC calls, has a budget of 57 Million Euros and 50% of the budget will come from the European Union H2020 RI Program, while the other half will come from participatory countries.
The EuroHPC Joint Venture, in which TÜBİTAK is a participant member, was initiated in 2018 in order to support and develop High Performance Calculating (YBH) activities across Europe in the field of infrastructure and technology.
