Visiting our country within the scope of Turkey's efforts to expand science and technology collaborations in Africa, the delegation headed by the Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Technological Innovation of Gabon, Marcelle Ibinga Itsitsa, visited the TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM Data Center on February 24, 2025 and examined our supercomputer ARF.
During the meetings held with the delegation, which made their first visit to TÜBİTAK, opportunities for developing scientific and technological cooperation between the two countries and joint projects were discussed. The delegation subsequently came to the TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM Data Center and had the opportunity to closely examine Turkey's infrastructure in the fields of artificial intelligence, big data and advanced computing technologies.
During the meeting, TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM Director Mehmet Mirat Satoğlu mentioned the services offered by ULAKBİM such as ULAKNET, EKUAL, TR Index, DergiPark and stated that TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM is always ready to share its knowledge and experience. The guest minister and the delegation expressed their satisfaction with the meeting and their wishes for further contacts and left.
