As ULAKBİM, we took part in Turkey’s first “Aviation, Space and Technology Festival (TEKNOFEST) 2018”, which took place at IGA Istanbul New Airport on September 20-23 with its stakeholders, including TÜBİTAK, and presented our project Pardus. Technology lovers who showed great interest in the Pardus Project presented in the TÜBİTAK stand, gained information about the Pardus operating system distribution while getting a chance to try out the Pardus 17.3 XFCE and Pardus 17.3 DDE (64-bit) versions, and to review Pardus ETAP specially developed for Interactive Boards on an Interactive Board.
Within the scope of TEKNOFEST 2018, 5 science lover students who retweeted our president Prof. Dr. Mandal’s post on Twitter got a chance to meet with Prof. Dr. Mandal face to face. One of these lucky students, Murat YEŞİLTEPE had the chance to personally offer his suggestions about Pardus Project to ULAKBİM Director M. Mirat SATOĞLU.
During the 4-day festival, particularly the Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa VARANK, Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih KACIR, President of the Presidential Digital Transformation Office Dr. Ali Taha KOÇ, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of T3 Foundation Selçuk BAYRAKTAR Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mevlüt UYSAL, and many students, teachers and participants have visited our stand, received information about the Pardus project and provided their opinions and suggestions.
