Samsun İlkadım District Directorate of National Education and Samsun Anatolian High School have signed a protocol with TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM on organization of a Training program to popularize our national operating system Pardus among high school students – which is a first in Turkey.
The signing ceremony of the protocol was held at TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM’s Ankara office in the presence of Halil İbrahim Akmeşe, İlkadım District Director of National Education, Mehmet İNCE, Principal of Samsun Anatolian High Schhol, Cengiz Çelik, Project Manager at TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM and Mehmet Mirat Satoğlu, Institute Manager of TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM.
In this respect, the Training will be titled “PARDUS ve AÇIK KAYNAK GÜNLERİ” (PAK - PARDUS and OPEN SOURCE DAYS) and held from 7 to 0 May. 150 students interested in Computer Sciences from 49 high schools will be trained by trainers from İlkadım District Directorate of National Education, TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM and the Association for Internet Technologies on Open Source, Free Software and our National Operating System PARDUS.
Halil İbrahim Akmeşe, İlkadım District Director of National Education, stated that this project aims to popularize the use of PARDUS on all of the interactive boards across Samsun, starting from the district of İlkadım, as well as teach the students how to use our National Operating System PARDUS.
