A delegation of the Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC) visited TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM on February 15, 2023 as part of the ongoing cooperation negotiations.
Attending the meeting were ISC President Prof. Dr. Seyed Ahmad Fazelzadeh Haghighi, Dr. Mohammed Reza Falahati Qadimi Fumani (Office of Public Relations and International Scientific Cooperation), ISC Turkey Delegate Prof. Dr. Tuncay Döğeroğlu (ISC Executive Committee Member) and TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM Director M. Mirat SATOĞLU, as well as several TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM experts.
Following the presentations introducing the services and activities in which TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM and the ISC are engaged, cooperation issues were evaluated as well as the similar services being provided. Among the issues discussed were the sharing of journal data and contributions to index content; the organization of conferences, workshops and trainings for interested parties; and participation in joint academic, scientific and technological activities.
The ISC is an international center that cooperates in activities toward the creation of a scientific network of Southeast Asian nations, Arab countries, Islamic African nations, the ISESCO member states, countries in Central Asia and the Caucasus region, and other Islamic countries in the Middle East, Europe and South America. It is involved in the indexing of qualified journals published in different subject areas and in different languages, ranking them according to international scientific indicators. It organizes stimulating workshops on research activities, and supports the creation of scientific and technological reports by universities in different countries, but especially those in the Islamic world.
